Gastric Balloon?
The Intragastric Balloon Placement is a weight loss procedure that involves placing a silicone balloon filled with saline solution in your stomach. This helps you lose weight by limiting the amount of food you can eat and making you feel fuller faster.

How to Prepare for the Gastric Balloon
The patient must fast for at least 8 hours before the procedure,
is premedicated (prescription is given at the assessment appointment) and must be accompanied by a family member or friend.
After inserting the balloon, from the first moment and after a couple of days, he/she may feel discomfort, nausea, and even vomiting, although these symptoms disappear quickly.
He/she may lose between 10 to 20 kilos with this procedure, but it is crucial that during the treatment, the patient learns to follow a nutritious, balanced, and healthy diet that ensures the long-term success of his/her weight-loss goals.
